CFAA currently encompasses 11 longstanding and successful partner associations from British Columbia to Nova Scotia. CFAA is continuing to expand its national representation and welcomes rental housing associations to join our membership to further strengthen the industry’s national presence.

Representing the national interests of rental housing providers since 1995, CFAA offers a strong, unified voice for our member associations and the rental housing providers they represent.

CFAA continues to expand its national reach to provide coverage to provinces and regions where landlords do not have a voice in the decisions on federal advocacy.

CFAA is a recognized stakeholder of the federal government and invites you to take advantage of our expanded services and receive the full benefits of its national lobbying efforts.

The main benefits of CFAA membership are:

  • Federal advocacy with a strategic and informative approach to shape government policy and regulations
  • Assistance with advocacy to reduce the spread of municipal and provincial measures contrary to the interests of rental housing providers
  • Public affairs that promote the industry is value to Canadians and how the presence of a healthy rental market contributes to national well-being and economic prosperity
  • Media relations to publicize and promote a positive public image for the rental housing industry
  • Notice of changes to government programs, including subsidies which can save you money
  • Advance notice of CFAA events
  • Advance notice of CFAA service offerings, such as the CFAA Employee Compensation Survey

Additional benefits of membership are:

  • The ability to influence governance of CFAA through direct voting rights
  • The ability to sit on committees and boards
  • Direct access to Rental Housing Business (RHB) Magazine and National Outlook, keeping you up-to-date on the latest industry developments

In 2018, CFAA launched a direct membership drive, asking rental providers to join CFAA as direct members. For more information, please see the Direct Membership page.

Alongside the direct membership program, association memberships in CFAA will continue. CFAA member associations will still be entitled to send a representative to sit on the CFAA Board, and to continue to receive what they and their members receive from CFAA now and more. However, for those who join CFAA direct members, CFAA will provide additional services and communications.

Association membership dues are payable annually and depend on the size of your association. For dues information, contact CFAA directly at 613-235-0101 or email president@cfaa-fcapi.org.
