Off-Site Employee of the Year

The judges said: "Jack's accomplishments this year were amazing as were all the submissions. As judges, what really stood out for us was how he accomplished them. His openness to change and his ability to adapt along with his leadership approach is truly commendable. Being a "Champion of the New" really shows that he wants to set his team up for success. Combine that with his sense of humour and his loyalty to his team, company and customers, he is truly deserving of this award! Well done, Jack!"
 

On-Site Employee of the Year

Dhaljit Dharival of CAPREIT

The judges said: "Dal takes on new challenges and is a mentor to staff. She is extremely organized which helps with ensuring tenant requests are completed in a timely manner therefore enhancing customer satisfaction. "
 

New Product or Service of the year

Gryd XR App by Gryd

The judges said: "Gryd XR is bringing the future to property management through its virtual and augmented reality app. This unique and leading edge product will expedite the leasing process by prequalifying clients and bring only those who are serious about the product to site. This technology will allow property owners to better feature their product in a competitive market."
 

Property Manager of the Year

Caroline Armstrong of Devon Properties

The judges said: "Caroline is a seasoned professional in our industry, whose calm demeanor, creative thinking and process orientation supported her as she worked to relocate everyone in a 14 storey high rise to a hotel for 6 weeks while building renovations were completed. She maintains strong communications with residents and contractors, ensures her team maintains a high level of property management services, maximizes performance and morale, and strives to provide safe and well maintained places for the people who live and work in her buildings."
 

Renovation of the Year

Jasper Heights - 10049 103 Street NW, Edmonton

The judges said: "Starlight's renovation of 103 Street NW in Edmonton exemplifies the pinnacle of quality in the rental industry. Beautifully renovated, professionally executed and adding significant value for their neighborhood and their residents."

The judges said: "The architecture, amenities, modern finishes and contemporary living spaces of MAPLE make this development unique. We appreciate the clever use of floor space, the well thought out suite finishes and the extensive amenities. Their commitment to sustainability and their LEED™ Gold certification as the largest multi-unit residential building in downtown Halifax, is quite impressive."
 

Association Achievement of the Year

Cannabis Law Reform by IPOANS

The judges said: "IPOANS succeeded in having the government enact authority for landlords to provide for rules regulating or banning cannabis smoking or cultivation in all rental units regardless of the wording of existing leases."
